The Message in the Massage

While I was away I treated myself to a massage that triggered a powerful response within me. It reawakened me to the fundamental importance of the connection we each have between ourselves, our possessions and the space that surround us. During the massage I started feeling all the tight and blocked places in my body (especially in my legs) that were preventing me from fully connecting.
I realized that I’ve sometimes been my own worst enemy and made my path a difficult one to walk both literally and figuratively. I hardly ever wear shoes with an arch support, opting mostly for flip flops or Converse which have no support at all.
Support is such a necessary element in our homes and in our lives. And it’s not strictly an external experience. We have the power of choice; to choose to support ourselves, our lives and our homes and to have our homes support us. That’s at the core of the SoulSpace philosophy. No longer are we at the mercy of forces that we do not believe to be in our control.
The blocks that manifested within me and I experienced through physical discomfort during that massage came from my being unconscious to the choices I was making. I chose not to have (a type of) support and there was a consequence to that choice.
Once you’ve made the decision to undertake the SoulSpace process to transform your home and your life it is essential that you assess the conscious and unconscious choices you’ve been making to understand how they have been affecting you. Only then can you genuinely determine what you need to continue and what is unsustainable.
It’s time to remove the blocks, those things within us and around us that reinforce a mode of thinking that is detrimental to our success and well-being.
It’s an exciting reminder that the SoulSpace process applies to every area of our lives so that we can better evaluate where we are hiding, storing or simply not seeing the things that don’t represent the person we seek to become.
I’m constantly reminded that I will always be both the teacher and the student. I’ve “returned to the drawing board” to look around my home and re-ASSESS if some small unconscious part of me remains. Once I understand what it is, I can take the steps to clear it from my path and make the changes to illuminate the way forward.
You can do this too –
Find the support from others and from yourself. Create the home where you will grow from that support and not fall back into old patterns. As for me, I’ll walk tall and proud from this day forth with support; in my actual shoes, in my heart and in my home.
Until next time,
XB
