New Templehome Maui opening!

We are pleased to announce the opening of our new office on Maui! We are offering full service architecture, landscaping and interior design through this island branch of Templehome. We have also opened a construction branch to serve the Maui community. We look forward to bringing our expertise and design abilities to this most beautiful land and community.

FOOD + ENERGY

The more time I spend on Maui, the more I encounter people who take farm-to-table very seriously.  This has been impacting the way I understand and experience the meals that I eat; enjoying pure, local food has become a big priority for me. What we eat is an extension of our consciousness—and my consciousness has been expanded and opened by the fresh, wild beauty on my dinner plate.

How lucky I am to be living in a place where guava and passion fruit bloom at the side of the road!

Our development project in Maui is well underway. My team and I have approached every facet of it through the filter of the SoulSpace process; deeply and energetically understanding what has been there, clearing out what no longer serves the space and those who will occupy it, and leaving a blank canvas from which to dream about what it can be and put those dreams into action.

Beauty – The Soul’s Inspiration

I’ve been going back and forth to Maui and have just returned. Each time I’m there I think about a concept that’s so fundamental to our very existence but we don’t discuss enough.

Beauty.

Both what we’re creating in Maui at the Ke-Ao Lanihuli ranch and my home in Los Feliz remind me how beauty settles the soul and mind – and reminds me that everything is OK in my world. Although I’ve lived in my home for going on 8 years now, I wake up every day with a grateful spirit, thankful for the beauty that I live in and am surrounded by.

With a Single Step

Perpetual oil spills and never ending wars. Corporate greed. Anger and mistrust with government and each other.

We stand on the brink of our own destruction. We’ve lost a connection with and respect for our planet.

Now, we’re toying with the delicate balance of life, with the very ecosystem of our existence, and the universe will balance the scales whether we like it or not.

The time for restoration is upon us.

The Message in the Massage

I’ve just returned from another trip to Maui where we’ve begun working on our recently acquired property that will soon become the SoulSpace Retreat Center .

While I was away I treated myself to a massage that triggered a powerful response within me. It reawakened me to the fundamental importance of the connection we each have between ourselves, our possessions and the space that surround us. During the massage I started feeling all the tight and blocked places in my body (especially in my legs) that were preventing me from fully connecting.
