Space - The Final Frontier

Here’s an idea:

Instead of keeping torn, dirty or broken down furniture and walking past it each day, get rid of it and let the empty space inspire you with possibility. One thing that all of us are challenged with is creating the space to “just be”.  We fill our days, our lives, our homes, our every waking moment with stuff, be it physical or mental. There is a part of us that’s afraid to create space in our homes and in our minds and have it “just be” there, without feeling the need to fill it up. But there is a way to get into that state of be-ing.

Meditation is the art of emptying the mind to allow the space to “just be” so that you are refreshed and rejuvenated to return to the outside world refreshed and rejuvenated.  Emptying your space of clutter allows you the freedom to imagine, dream and be inspired to create something new that will serve you in a more profound way.

In our over scheduled lives we often have difficulty finding the time to breath, a moment in which to just be and rest. Not only is it unhealthy it also prevents us from gaining perspective on creating a life that is as fulfilling as we can image. Even with all the chaos in the world, the one place where we can (and should) be able to create a pause and control the way in which we live our lives is in the home.

But sometimes our homes feel overrun with stuff. And it’s not even stuff we want, or need, or like but we’re too busy to know what to do with it or to find the time to deal with it. We need to get past this mindset – a cycle that further weighs us down with more stuff and leaves us felling unfulfilled and empty.

Space is a very interesting concept.  There’s nothing in space and at the same time it’s filled with every possibility. It is from space that all inspiration and creation can emerge. In my own life emptiness is not a negative thing.  It allows me to listen and be inspired by something greater than my own mind. I keep empty and uncluttered spaces in my home to always remember that my true self is evolving. The potential of what it can become allows me to create a fuller expression of myself.  Think about this in relation to your own life.  How often do you create space inside yourself to wait and ‘just be” so that you might be inspired by a thought or a vision that could serve you in the work that you do or in the relationship that you are in?

Go through your space and look at the things around you. Does everything you see have a place and a purpose? Is there a story behind how you got it or what it represents that holds an emotional charge? Are there some things you see that you’re indifferent to? If so, it’s time for that thing to go. Allow the emptiness that remains, the space that is created, to breath.  Use it as an opportunity to be inspired and let your imagination soar.

The SoulSpace process guides you in transforming your home into a beautiful expression of yourself in physical form. At the same time it will create space and transformation within you as well.  Ask yourself — when was the last time I sat down and really spent quiet time by myself?

Come join me in the space of nothingness and feed from the infinite possibility of creation. Together we can create divinely inspired homes that are the expressions of the deepest part of ourselves. You’ll see that as you “re-feather your nest” the space you create, both at home and inside yourself, will have an impact in every area of your life.

Here goes…nothing —
