Off the Beaten Path

I’ve just returned from a trip to Mount Shasta where I went to see the full moon. I felt drawn to be there.

Astrologically, the planet Pluto (and I believe it is a planet regardless of what NASA says) was directly over Mount Shasta this weekend.

Here’s how the website SouledOut.org describes Pluto:

In the destruction of old forms (be they physical, astral or mental) Pluto literally changes the atomic structure. Pluto causes major changes and forces the transcendence of personal desires into a more universal orientation. Pluto is the planet of death and rebirth. It actualizes the destruction of things whose time has come to an end, and the generation of what is new. Pluto is the transformer that stimulates and catalyzes the Will.

While I was there I did a Native American sweat lodge with “Walking Eagle”. I’ve done several sweat lodges before but this was the first time I was asked to participate and assist in bringing the rocks into the lodge. I felt honored to play a part in creating the ceremony of healing.

Later on, I was told of the significance of being asked to carry in the rocks and that they know when someone is ready for this next step in initiation.

After 2 rounds of the sweat lodge we took a small break before beginning 2 more rounds. I was sitting by the fire outside and began to cry. I could feel so much emotion and stuck energy begin to move through. My desire and passion to serve humanity on a deeper level ignited from within like a wild brush fire.

The final round in the lodge was for the purpose of “speaking your prayers”.

There I was in the inner circle with my found Native American brothers; singing, clapping, sweating.

And then my prayer came through.

Dear beloved source and grandfather of all life
Use every moment; minute, day, week, month and year that I have left in my life
To being in service to you and my fellow brothers and sisters of humanity.
Use the instrument known as me
To inspire others to remember the love that they are.

This weekend was about cleansing my body and my mind and creating the space to dream more.

It opens the flood gates to dream bigger and to allow the creation to move through me.

The Soulspace steps once again. Constantly spiraling around and up. Clearing so that more of the dream may come in.

Aho (think of it as the Native American version of amen).

Your brother on the road to joy and bliss,

XB
