Beauty – The Soul’s Inspiration

I’ve been going back and forth to Maui and have just returned. Each time I’m there I think about a concept that’s so fundamental to our very existence but we don’t discuss enough.

Beauty.

Both what we’re creating in Maui at the Ke-Ao Lanihuli ranch and my home in Los Feliz remind me how beauty settles the soul and mind – and reminds me that everything is OK in my world. Although I’ve lived in my home for going on 8 years now, I wake up every day with a grateful spirit, thankful for the beauty that I live in and am surrounded by.

I’ve never taken it for granted and it has never stopped inspiring me to continue creating more and more beauty.

I listened to an interview with Lady Gaga the other day.  She was asked a question about when and how she writes her songs. In response she threw up her arms and said “whenever I am moved to write” and that “creativity is my religion.”  Hearing that resonated deeply for me — creativity is my religion, too.  I feel closest to myself and to my Source when I am creating – and being surrounded by beauty inspires my creativity, which allows me to stay in a pretty constant state of creating, which in turn allows me to stay in a pretty constant flow with my Source/Creator.  It’s a very powerful feedback loop.

I think that this is the deepest and most profound reason that I am inspired to share the SoulSpace process in the many ways that are beginning to unfold.

Imagine if we were all living in beauty in our homes – it would undoubtedly inspire us to go out into the world and create more of it. As I wrote in my last blog entry, we would all be contributing to the restoration of our planet in a deeply resonant and authentic way.

And it’s not just our homes. Office buildings, shopping centers and other multi-use properties can and should be beautiful too as long as they’re created from the inspiration of the soul.

The beauty I speak of is the truest truth, the greatest love, the purest connection to our Source and our self.

Think about the word.  Sound it out.  It’s about so much more than surface aesthetics.

Beau-ti-ful.  Be You To The Full.  Say it loud and proud.

Be You To The Full(est).

Express your beauty in every moment.

And if you feel adrift, don’t worry.  I’ll help you get there.

It begins after the 4th step of the SoulSpace process (which my regular reader know is the DREAM phase).

So join me as we blanket the world with a nice thick coat of the good stuff, raining down upon us from the heavens until a bountiful harvest emerges. Together we’ll inspire ourselves and each other to restore the beauty that our imperfect humanity, in unconscious greed and avarice, has nearly destroyed.
